Second Life Grid Status Reports

[RESOLVED 30 Aug 6:01pm PDT] All search functions in Viewer 1.23 are now working as normal.

[POSTED 30 Aug 5:34pm PDT] We are currently aware of an issue with our Search feature that is affecting our residents that use Viewer 1.23.  At this time, all search functions within Viewer 2 are working as normal.  Please monitor this blog for any new information as it becomes available.

[RESOLVED 25 Aug 2010 2:00pm PDT]  The Rolling Restarts have now been completed.

[25 Aug 2010 7am PDT] We are commencing with the rolling restarts for server version 1.42. We will update this blog with any further information as it becomes available.

[RESOLVED 25 Aug 2010 6:50am PDT]  Maintenance has now been completed.

[Posted 25 Aug 2010, 12:10am PDT] There will be planned inventory database maintenance on Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 beginning at 6:00am PDT. The maintenance should last approximately 1 hour. During this time some residents may be logged off and will not be able to log back in until the work is complete.

[RESOLVED] At 8:30 am PDT some parts of the Pjira will be down for maintenance and upgrades as per the blog post listed here: A Better JIRA for Everyone (…Who Wants It).

[RESOLVED] 12:32pm PDT] The wiki.secondlife.com is now functioning properly.

We are aware of current issues regarding the wiki.secondlife.com. We are currently investigating and will update here as more information becomes available

[3:00pm Pacific] Inworld search issue is now  resolved.

[12:30pm Pacific] We are currently experiencing issues with the All tab of inworld search. Due to an issue in the deploy of a search engine update, only Viewer 2-based viewers are currently able to search Mature and Adult regions and parcels. We are working to resolve this and expect to have it fixed shortly. Other search results such as Places, Groups, and People should be unaffected. Please keep an eye on this blog for further details and updates.

[RESOLVED August 19th 20:30 PST] The rolling restarts for server 1.42 have been completed.

We are commencing with the pilot rolling restarts for server version 1.42. We will update this blog with any further information as it becomes available.

About a minute past midnight, a maintenance action upstream from us caused a service disruption between Second Life and a number of Residents.

The outage was corrected within roughly 8 minutes, and routes into Second Life have been steadily healing since then.

Our network crew is monitoring for any more signs of trouble. Hopefully, that was the last of it.
