Second Life Grid Status Reports

[RESOLVED Feb 10 2010 3:05 PM PST]  All residents should be able to log in as normal.  Residents will now also be able to make L$ transactions, rez items, and TP as normal.  Thank you for your patience in this matter.

[POSTED Feb 10 2010 2:38 PM PST]  Some residents may be experiencing log in issues at this time.  We are aware of the issue and are working on it.  Refrain from making any L$ transactions at this time.  Do not rez any items.  There may also be incidental TP issues.  We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  Please check back for any new updates as they occur.

[Resolved 2:22 pm PST] All regions that were offline should now be back on-line. If you believe your region is still down, please contact support so we can look into it.

[Posted 1:07 pm PST] Approximately 300 regions are temporarily offline. We are working on bringing them back on-line. We will update this post as we know more.

The Support Portal will be undergoing maintenance on Tuesday 9th February from 4.00am PST until 5.00am PST.

During this time residents will be unable to create tickets or use Live Chat.  For abuse issues, please continue to use our abuse report system.

[8 February 2010 2:31AM EST] All maintenance has been completed for today.

[8 February 2010 - 10pm PST] Linden Lab will be performing required maintenance on Monday night February 8, 2010 at 11pm Pacific (PST). The upgrade will take up to 3 hours to complete.  Residents may experience some isolated instances of teleport and transaction failure.  Linden Lab appreciates your patience during this necessary upgrade period.

We’re installing a few upgrades and restarting PJIRA beginning at 1:00 a.m. Pacific tomorrow morning.

Even if PJIRA seems accessible during this time, you may lose edits. Please refrain from updating any PJIRA pages during the maintenance window.

If the scope or scheduling of this work changes, we’ll update you here.

[12:02 PM PST] This issue has been resolved and inworld activities can resume

[11:55 AM PST] We are currently experiencing problems with possible tp failures and general inworld services. Please refrain from rezzing no copy items and and making purchases. We are investigating the problem and will post updates here.

[Resolved] Monday, February 8th 6.16am This has now been resolved and all services are running as normal. If you have any issues please contact Support for further help.

Monday, February 8 2010 at 5:00 a.m. Pacific, we’ll be closing logins and disabling major inworld services for ninety minutes of upgrade work on our databases.

During the maintenance, logins, account registrations, XStreetSL, and the land store will be unavailable.  The Knowledge Base will remain accessible.

Residents who are in world will not be disconnected when maintenance begins, but will lose access to services such as

mapping,
teleport,
inventory,
object and L$ transfers, and
LindeX.

We’ll warn in world several minutes before the outage begins, and we’ll post any changes to the scope and schedule of the work here as they develop.

We appreciate that this will inconvenience a number of our Residents. The maintenance work is to enhance the stability and performance of our database-backed services.

[5 February 2010 - 11:25pm PST] Forums.secondlife.com is having intermittent issues. We are working to resolve the problem. Please watch this blog for further updates.

[Posted 4:37pm PST] We are currently experiencing some issues related to in-world services. We’re tracking down the source as rapidly as possible. Please do not attempt L$ operations or manipulate no-copy items until we issue an all-clear. We will update this post as we know more.
