Second Life Grid Status Reports

[Resolved 5:55pm PDT] - Logins have been enabled and transactions should have returned to normal functionality.

[Updated 5:30pm PDT] - Logins are expected to remain disabled for an extra half an hour. There are also expected transaction errors related to this issue. Please watch this blog for further updates.

There is a new issue effecting logins due to a utility server crash, our technicians are working on resolving the issue as quickly as possible.We expect this to be resolved within a half hour, please watch this blog for updates.

[Resolved 6:11pm PDT] Voice chat should now be available in all regions. If you are still experiencing a voice issue in your region, please disable and then re-enable the voice setting to correct it.

[Update 5:43pm PDT] Voice chat is nearly restored, most regions should be seeing voice service return to normal shortly.

Some regions may currently be experiencing problems with the Voice function. We are aware of this issue, and are working on resolving it as soon as possible. We will keep this post updated as the situation progresses.

[6:00AM Pacific] The all clear has been given!  You may connect to Second Life (if you have not already done so) and have a yourself good morning!

[5:25AM Pacific] Residents may be unable to connect to Second Life as the result of a database related issue.  Features inworld may also not be working.  This is being looked into and we will keep you posted.

[Resolved - 12:15pm PDT] - The Land Store has been re-opened and registrations are once again available.

Update 11:26 a.m. PDT Website support services are now available. Our main web page is loading correctly. An update on registrations will be provided shortly.

Update 11:09 a.m. PDT While we work on website technical issues, the land store and support services will be unavailable. Support phone access for Billing and Concierge will continue to be provided.

Our website is currently redirecting to our registration page. Registrations are unavailable while our developers correct an issue we are experiencing.

12:12 p.m. PDT We have been given an all clear that our database has recovered. Those affected should have login ability and in-world services restored.

One of our inventory databases is experiencing overload. This can produce issues with rezzing objects and inventory issues. If you are experiencing inventory issues, please hold off conducting transactions until we give an all-clear.

All Clear 2:09 p.m. PDT Our databases are working normally and we are giving an all clear for in-world services.

[Update 1:54 p.m. PDT. Login is now open. We will update on In-World services shortly.

Re-opened 1:41 p.m. PDT We are experiencing database overload and are re-opening this issue. In-World Services are affected and we are temporarily restricting login.

Update 1:08 p.m. PDT The databases are working nicely now and we are giving an All Clear for in-world services.

Update 12:50 p.m. Logins are open again. Thank you for your patience. We will monitor the databases before giving a full All Clear on In-World Services.

We are experiencing a high load on our databases. Some in-world services may be affected and logins have been temporarily closed.  We will re-open them as soon as possible. As a precaution please hold off on rezzing no copy items or conducting L$ transactions.

[Resolved 21:52] The DNS issue is once again resolved and inworld services are restored. Ops will continue to monitor the situation throughout the night, and any changes in the situation will be posted here.

We ask that residents refrain from rezzing or transacting anything important in world until we’ve cleared this issue. We are working on resolving this issue quickly and will keep you updated.

Ops will continue to monitor the situation throughout the night, and any changes in the situation will be posted here. We now return you to your regularly scheduled weekend, already in progress.

Additionally, the land store is offline for the duration of the problem. We ask that residents refrain from rezzing or transacting anything important in world until we’ve cleared this issue. 8:25 a.m. PDT Our Billing phone lines are now operational again. We are watching this issue and if it returns we will re-open this post.  All access to support is functioning normally.

We are working to resolve intermittent disconnects with Billing phone calls. All other support access is functioning normally.

[RESOLVED] Vivox has fixed the issue and voice is once again working.

There is an issue which is affecting inworld voice chat. Operations is working to diagnose the problem. Please monitor this post for further information as it becomes available.

[All Clear 4:11 p.m. PDT] In-World Services are restored. It is clear to conduct transactions.

We have identified a technical problem with our database. We are investigating and will keep you updated. This affects all in-world services. Please do not conduct transactions until we give an all clear.
