[REMINDER] Support Portal Maintenance, April 13th

[Updated, 11 Apr 2010 9:10am PDT] This is similar to last night’s issue in that we are aware that there are a number of mainland regions that are experiencing voice outages. We are investigating this and working towards a speedy resolution.

[POSTED 12:13pm PDT]  We are currently investigating regions which may be causing some residents to crash wile attempting to teleport out, as well as misrepresenting land and group information.  Please contact support at www.secondlife.com/support and watch this blog for any new updates.

[RESOLVED] 500 regions being restarted

[RESOLVED] All of the regions affected have been restarted and the maintenance has been completed.

We will be starting a minor maintenance procedure which will result in about 500 regions needing to be restarted. They will be given a 5 minute warning before restarting. We do not expect them to be down for more than a few minutes. If they are offline for more than 30 minutes please contact support and let us know.

[8:55pm Pacific] [RESOLVED] This issue has been resolved and the affected regions should be back to normal. If you are still experiencing issues with outbound TPs, problems with rezzing items and issues bringing up information in About Land for a particular region, please contact support via live chat or by submitting a support ticket.

[UPDATE #3 8:20pm Pacific] Our efforts to resolve the network issues affecting some functionality in world continues.  While progress is being made, there are still several hundred regions being affected.  Please refer to this blog for further updates and thank you for your patience.

[UPDATE #2 4:53pm Pacific] We are continuing our work on the affected regions.  During this work, residents may notice an increase in failed teleports or information loading.  Please continue watching this post for new information.

[UPDATE 12:08pm Pacific] We are currently restarting the affected regions.  Please watch this post for new information as it becomes available.

[Posted 10:05am Pacific] We are having an issue where certain regions are experiencing issues with outbound TPs, problems with rezzing items and issues bringing up information in About Land. [RESOLVED] Some regions currently offline

[3:30pm Pacific] [RESOLVED] This issue has been resolved and all affected regions should now be back online. If you experience an issue with a region being offline for more than half an hour, please contact live chat support or file a support ticket.

[Update #3 2:25pm Pacific] We’re still actively working to resolve this issue, and get these regions back online as soon as possible. Please stay posted for updates.

[UPDATE #2] We’ve received word from our network service provider that all regions should be available in approximately an hour.  We ask that you continue to watch this thread for any new updates.

[UPDATED] If you are having issues logging into a certain region, it may be that region is offline.  We do ask that you log into a different region.  Instructions on how to log in at a specific location can be found here:  http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Changing_your_login_location

[POSTED 8 April 2010] Some regions are currently offline and we are working to restore them.  This may also affect residents ability to TP, and we do ask that you refrain from making any transactions at this time.  We ask that you please watch this thread for any new updates.

[Resolved 6:20am PDT] Telephone support is now available again.

[Posted 6:10am PDT] We’re currently experiencing some connectivity issues with our phone support system. Billing, Concierge and password reset phone support is unavailable at this time. We are working on this issue and will post here when we have more information.

Inventory/Teleport Slowness

[Posted 3:25pm PDT] We’re aware of high level issues affecting various Internet Service Providers, including some of the traffic between our data centers. If you are experiencing slowness when saving or rezzing items and with teleports, this is most likely the cause.
