Issues with Visa Gift Cards

We are currently experiencing problems billing to Visa gift cards and are investigating.  If the card you were using previously no longer works, you may want to have a look at your gift card FAQ’s or contact the issuer of the card. In the meantime, we recommend updating to a different payment method.

[RESOLVED] Xstreet fund transfer issues

[September 24 1:38PM Pacific] This issue has been resolved.  Inworld deposits should now show on Xstreet balances without delay.

[Sep 23, 8:04PM Pacific] We are currently experiencing an issue with XStreetSL that may cause some residents’ in-world deposits to be delayed in appearing in their XStreet balances. Our engineers are working on resolving the issue.

Transaction history issues using Internet Explorer

[Spe 23, 5:35pm PDT] Currently we are seeing transaction history issues on the Second Life website where if you are using Internet Explorer you will be able to view the transaction history but not download them; other browsers do not seem to be affected. [RESOLVED 3:26pm PDT] The Support Portal is now fully functional again. If you see any errors or issues with connecting to a Live Chat session, please try again and it should perform as normal.

[Resolved] Asset Server Issues

[Resolved 10:01am Pacific] The asset server issues have been resolved and all services have been restored to normal.

[9:30am Pacific] We’re currently experiencing some asset server issues. You may notice inworld issues such as failure to rez, and objects failing to return to inventory. Please refrain from rezzing no-copy objects or making important transactions until we post an all-clear.

[Resolved @ 2:00pm DPT, September 19] The rolling restarts have completed. 1.30 is now deployed.

[Updated @ 3:48 pm PDT, September 18] The rolling restarts that were scheduled for Weds Sept. 23th and Thurs Sept. 24th have been rescheduled due to an important security fix. Please see the dates and times below:
  • Fri, Sept. 18th, 6pm - 9pm: 1.30 deploy to 1/2 of agni [complete]
  • Sat, Sept. 19th: 5am - 12pm: 1.30 deploy to 1/2 of agni [complete]

[Updated @ 7:12 am PDT, September 17] Today’s rolling restart has commenced. Any residents that happen to be in a region that is under going a restart will automatically be logged out. The rolling restart is expected to be completed by 11 am PDT. Thank you for your patience while we under go this deploy.

[Updated @ 11:33 am PDT] During testing, some regressions were discovered that need to be fixed and re-tested.  Consequently, the 1.30 deployment has been pushed back by a week.  The new times are reflected below.

We will be deploying server version 1.30.0 to Second Life during the weeks of September 14 th and September 21st . The rolling restart is scheduled to look like the following:
  • Thurs Sept. 17th: 1.30 deploy to pilot regions
  • Weds Sept. 23th: 1.30 deploy to 1/2 of agni
  • Thurs Sept. 24th: 1.30 deploy to 1/2 of agni
As with all of our server deploys, each region will be restarted once during one of the rolling restart periods. Most regions should be down no more than 5-10 minutes, although some fraction of the regions will take 20-30 minutes to upgrade. If your region stays down for more than 30 minutes, please contact support. Each region will receive warnings starting 5 minutes before that region is restarted.
