[RESOLVED] XStreetSL.com and OnRez.com Temporarily Unavailable

[RESOLVED July 24, 2009, 4:45AM PDT] Service to these websites has been restored.

[July 24, 2009, 5:00AM PDT] We are aware that XStreetSL.com and OnRez.com are both temporarily unavailable.  Our web team is investigating and we will restore service to these sites as quickly as possible.

[RESOLVED 04:00am PST] The power has been restored, and XStreetSL.com is back up and ready for business.

[UPDATE 03:07am PST] Unfortunately, that did not work out as planned, and we have lost power again. A technician is on their way to replace the faulty part, and we will let you know how we progress from there on.

[UPDATE 02:30am PST] It appears a power outage has knocked over some loadbalancers. We have restored power to the affected facilities and are now working to get all servers back online.

[July 23, 01:15am PST] Both XStreetSL.com and Onrez.com are currently not available, our web team is on the case to fix as quickly as possible. We will update you with any news as we get them.

[RESOLVED] Second Life Wiki is experiencing some issues

[RESOLVED 03:26am PST] The wiki has been behaving well over the last couple of hours, and is fully functional.

[UPDATE July 23, 00:40am PST] We have done some testing, and the wiki appears to be back to normal functionality; we will keep monitoring it for a while longer, though.

[July 22, 2009 10:38pm PST] The Second Life Wiki  http://wiki.secondlife.com/ is currently experiencing intermittent issues. You may see errors as you try to access it. Technicians are working on the issue and we will have it back up as quickly as possible.

Support Portal Downtime

The web Support Portal will be down from midnight to approximately 7am Pacific on Monday morning for an upgrade. During this time frame, the Knowledge Base, Live Chat and ticketed Support systems will be unavailable.

Portions of the Knowledge Base are available on the wiki, which will be unaffected by this downtime.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Permissions Issue

[9:30pm PDT] We are aware of potential problems with Bulk Permissions as documented in https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4444. We are investigating. We recommend that creators and merchants avoid using the Bulk Permissions feature until further notice. More details will be available when we have them.

This issue has been resolved. Our voice vendor experienced a database failure. Voice should be working as normal.

Payment Processing Maintenance - July 19th @ 5pm to 7pm PDT

Payment processing will be undergoing scheduled maintenance Today from 5pm to 7pm PDT.  During this time credit/debit transactions will be unavailable, including registration and update of card information as well as card-funded LindeX transactions.  Please note that PayPal will still be available for transactions.

[Resolved @ 8:29sm PDT] Logins have been restored to full working order and Xstreet is now accessible. Thank you for your patience.

[Posted @ 8:09am PDT, July 18, 2009] There have been some reports of login failures. We are investigating this issue and should expect the situation to be resolved within 30 minutes.

Additionally, Xstreet is experiencing some access difficulties.

[RESOLVED] Rolling Restart

[RESOLVED 2009-07-17 5:00am PDT]: We’ve completed the rolling restarts.

[UPDATE 2009-07-16 10:20pm PDT]: Full grid rolling restart currently in progress.

[UPDATE 2009-07-16 7:30pm PDT]: Full grid rolling restart commencing at 8pm PDT tonight.

[UPDATE 2009-07-15, 10:37am PDT]:The first half of Second Life regions have now been restarted.

[UPDATE - 2009-07-15, 06:00am PDT]:  The first half of Second Life regions are now being restarted.

[UPDATE - 2009-07-14, 08:53am PDT]:  The Pilot roll has now been completed.

[UPDATE - 2009-07-14, 07:30am PDT]:  The Pilot roll is recommencing now.

[UPDATE 2009-07-14, 00:43am PDT]:  Due to some bugs that showed up in the pilot regions and the desire for additional testing, we’ll be re-doing the pilot roll on Tuesday. If that goes well, we’re planning on doing the full roll on Wednesday and Thursday.

[11:25am PDT, July 9 2009] The Pilot roll is complete.

[7:29am PDT, July 9 2009] The pilot roll has begun.

[11:38pm PDT, July 8 2009] We will be deploying server version 1.27.0 to Second Life during the weeks of July 6th and July 13th. The rolling restart is scheduled to look like the following:

* Thu. 07/09 7-10am : a pilot roll of ~500 simhosts - Complete
* Tue. 07/14, 7-12AM : half of Second Life will be restarted
* Wed. 07/15, 7-12AM : the remainder of Second Life will be restarted

As with all of our server deploys, each region will be restarted once during one of the rolling restart periods. Most regions should be down no more than 5-10 minutes, although some fraction of the regions will take 20-30 minutes to upgrade. If your region stays down for more than 30 minutes, please contact support. Each region will receive warnings starting 5 minutes before that region is restarted.

[Resolved 6:13pm PST] The issue was identified and corrected.  Teleports are working.

We are aware some teleports are failing and are looking into the issue.  We will update as needed.
