[RESOLVED] Login Issues

[RESOLVED] Logins are back to normal and all inworld services appear to be functioning normally.

[UPDATE] We recommend refraining from making inworld transactions and rezzing no copy objects for the time being.

We are currently experiencing some issues with logging into Second Life.  Some residents may have trouble accessing Second Life.  We are currently working on correcting this issue and will update as more information becomes available.

[RESOLVED] Some parcels reporting traffic as 0

[RESOLVED 3:20AM PDT May 17, 2009] Traffic calculations have been completed, including all parcels that were missed yesterday morning.

[UPDATE] Due to an error last night, traffic calculations did not complete for about 1/3rd of all parcels resulting in their traffic to display as 0. This problem will resolve itself tonight when traffic is recalculated and all parcels are updated as normal.

Residents have been reporting what appears to be a possible reoccurance of problem with traffic where their parcels erroneously report their traffic as 0. We are aware of the problem and expect the traffic numbers to properly update tomorrow with the next set of traffic calculations.

[RESOLVED] Paypal Agreement/Credit Card Issues

[RESOLVED 9:32am PDT] All payment method issues have been resolved and you may enter and/or update both Credit Card and PayPal details as normal.

[UPDATE 7:40] We are receiving reports that entering Credit Card details is being affected by this after all. Please refrain from entering/updating payment information until this issue has been resolve. Please monitor this post for updates.

[06:44am PST] We have been made aware that residents creating/updating their payment method through paypal are not completing successfully.

Please refrain from updating your paypal details until the issue has been resolved. This does not effect Credit Card details, only PayPal.

[RESOLVED] Website Access Problems

[RESOLVED 9:25]  Access to SecondLife.com is restored.  Google had difficulties, which in turn affected us due to the services Google provides.

[8:46}  We are aware that some residents may be experiencing difficulty reaching SecondLife.com and the associated websites, including the Support Portal.  This appears to be a widespread problem which is affecting other sites as well as ours.  We are investigating and will update you as soon as more information is available.

[COMPLETED] Support Portal Maintenance May 13

[COMPLETED 9:39am PDT] The maintenance has completed and all support features are available.

Our support portal vendor has announced two rounds of maintenance this coming week:

  • Sunday May 10, 9:00 - 9:30 p.m. Pacific (Completed)
  • Wednesday, May 13, 7:00 - 9:30 a.m. Pacific

Support LIve Chat and ticketing features will not be available during these periods. If the scope or scheduling changes, we’ll update here.

[RESOLVED] XStreet going offline for estimated 1-2 hours.

[UPDATE 2:19 pm Pacific] Database maintenance is complete and XStreetSL is back online. Product pictures and other merchant assets should display correctly without the need to re-upload them.

The XStreet servers will be offline for the next 1-2 hours while we perform some database tuning.  We’ll notify you here if the scope or schedule of the work changes.

[REVISED] XStreetSL Login Problems

[UPDATE 7:30 pm] The fix this afternoon corrected various cookie-based errors which were randomly striking Residents attempting to log in to XStreetSL.  Residents with a password length of 17 characters or greater will still need to change to a shorter password (16 characters or under) in order to access XStreetSL. 

[UPDATE 3:50pm]  We’ve pushed a fix to this problem.  If you’re still having trouble logging in, please file a Support ticket for XStreet Login problems (see below) and we’ll assist you.

 

Some resident are reporting problems logging into XStreetSl.com.  Passwords longer than 16 characters are currently not accepted on XStreetSL.com, however we are working to correct this as soon as possible.  In the meantime, affected resident who wish to log in immediately may change their Second Life password at http://secondlife.com/account/password.php.

Residents with any other issues with XStreetSL logins may file a support ticket using Special Questions - Basic or Guest with the ticket type “XStreet Login Problems.”

[RESOLVED] Traffic Issues

[RESOLVED 3:00am PDT May 10, 2009] We’ve recalculated traffic for all regions.

[Update 8:00am PDT May 9, 2009] Traffic is now being calculated correctly and will display normally on the next update. Updates will be posted here as more info becomes available.

[5:00pm PDT May 8, 2009] There is currently an issue with traffic updates, affecting approximately 3500 regions. Traffic is showing as 0 at those locations. Our technicians are aware of the issue and working on a resolution. Please stay posted for updates.

[Resolved @ 4:30PM PDT] Textures on the handful of regions mentioned below should be loading textures normally.

Residents have reported a handful of regions that are experiencing difficulties with textures showing as grey. We are aware of the issue and working towards a resolution.

[Resolved 12:12PM PDT] The investigation has been completed. All inworld services should be functioning normally. Thank you for your patience while this situation was resolved.

[UPDATED 11:47AM PDT] Investigation continues into the database issue.  Although some inworld services may function please continue to avoid making transactions or purchases until the issue is resolved.

[10:49AM PDT]  Logins have been disabled while we investigate a database issue affecting a number of inworld services.  Inworld Search, Teleports, and the main Map are not functional.  Please avoid making transactions and purchases, including XStreetSL purchases, until the issue is resolved.
