[RESOLVED] Problems with group and avatar URL formatting
[RESOLVED 28 April 2:18 pm Pacific] The original URL format has been restored to pages at world.secondlife.com, e.g. ..world.secondlife.com/group/<group-key>. All pages in this collection are now available and updated per usual. From now on, please continue to use this URL format.
For a limited time, a separate version of the pages with /a/ in the URL, e.g. …world.secondlife.com/a/group/<group-key>, will be available in order to give Residents who took corrective action the time to adjust their scripts and links. The content in this collection will not be refreshed. After 1 week, the “/a/” link collection will be deprecated.
[UPDATE 27 April 1:18 pm Pacific] We’ll be reverting all URLs to the published style within the next 24 hours or so. When the work is finished, we’ll update here.
Group and avatar URLs are currently showing an unannounced format. The published style is:
…world.secondlife.com/group/<group-key>
and the system is currently returning:
…world.secondlife.com/a/group/<group-key>
This is impacting any number of in world tools and documents which make use of fixed group URLs, including notecard-based group invite tasks.
The Operations Team will be working to correct this as quickly as possible.
