Planned Maintenance for Debit/Credit Card Processing

Our card processing vendor has announced four planned maintenance sessions over the next several days.

During each session, debit/credit card processing will be unavailable. This includes registering cards as new funding sources, or making card-backed LindeX purchases at the Website or through the viewer.

The maintenance sessions are slated to begin at 3 a.m. Pacific on each scheduled day and to conclude within sixty minutes.  However, our vendor has reserved a fallback time of 7am - 8am Pacific for each day.  We’ll post as soon as we become aware of any rescheduled sessions.

The scheduled days are:

  • Tuesday, 10 March
  • Thursday, 12 March
  • Friday, 13 March
  • Tuesday, 17 March

Inventory Database Maintenance Planned

[Finished 03:30am PST] This maintenance has been successfully completed.

In addition to the planned maintenance for Debit/Credit Card Processing, we will be swapping round one of our inventory databases on Tuesday 10th March at 3:00 AM Pacific.

The work should last around 30 minutes and, for a small number of residents, access to items in your inventory will be temporarily unavailable during this time.

[RESOLVED]Technical Difficulties with Phone Support

[RESOLVED 9:43] The Concierge and Billing support telephone lines are once again operating normally.

[Updated @ 9:16 am PST] In addition to Concierge services having difficulty, one of the billing phone lines is also experiencing some technical difficulty.

Currently, Linden Lab phone support for Concierge services are experiencing technical difficulities - some calls do not appear to be connecting. We appreciate your understanding while we investigate this issue.

[RESOLVED 1:15pm PST] The LLNet transition rolling restart is complete.

There will be a rolling restart starting at 9am today for LLNet transition. We will update as this commences with any further news.

[RESOLVED] Support Ticket File Attachment Errors

[RESOLVED 9:16PM Pacific] Ticket issues have now been resolved.

[9:00PM Pacific] The support system is currently experiencing difficulties attaching files to tickets. We are aware of the problem and are working to get this resolved.

[RESOLVED] ~900 Regions Experiencing Inworld Issues

[RESOLVED 12:48] The cause of the issue has been discovered and corrected; the affected regions are again working properly.

[UPDATE 12:37] Affected regions may appear offline to residents attempting to reach them.

[STATUS 12:10] ~900 regions are experiencing and issue interfering with a number of inworld services including teleporting, transactions, rezzing, etc.  Until the All-Clear is sounded please refrain from makeing purchase or rezzing no copy items.  We are investigating and will have the situation corrected as soon as possible.  Please monitor this post for updates and additional information.

[Completed] Network Update starting at 8am PST

[UPDATE] 11:00am PST - This has been completed

Between 8:00am and 11:00am PST today, we will be changing the networking of some servers that host regions currently on the grid.

Those regions will have presence issues: Residents will not be able to enter or exit them, and Residents in them will not be able to access inventory. This effect will continue for possibly as long as 30 minutes per region (but probably closer to 5 minutes).

Any time a region restarts, it comes back on the first available host of that hardware class, so it is not possible for us to predict which regions will be affected this far in advance. We will be announcing in each affected region before the outage starts.

If the scope or schedule of the work changes, or if we get more information, we’ll post here.

[RESOLVED] Update billing information currently not available

[Update 06:25am PST March 04] This has now been resolved. If you are experiencing any billing errors currently please contact support.

Our payment processor is currently experiencing technical difficulties, residents may experience problems when attempting to update billing information and other related payment transactions.

We do not have an estimated time for the resolution to this issue, but there will be an update as soon as we have any further information.

[RESOLVED] Rolling Restarts Continue Tonight

[Update 06:24am PST March 04] The rolling restarts for today are completed.

[Update 04:04am PST March 04] The rolling restarts are about to begin.

[Update] 4:00pm PST] The scheduled rolling restarts have been canceled for Tuesday night.  However, we are resuming our LLNet Renumbering project which will result in restarts at 3:00am PST on Wednesday, March 4th.  We will update as necessary.

[Update 05:0am PST] These Rolling Restarts are finished for today.

[Update 03:05am PST March 03] Today’s set of Rolling Restarts for the LLNet transition have started.

[UPDATED 5:45 pm Pacific] In addition to the restarts below, we’ll be restarting an additional 300 or so Regions between 3 am and 8 am Pacific tomorrow as we resume our LLNet Renumbering project. These two restart waves are unavoidably separate, and we apologize for the inconvenience to those impacted by both events.

As reported last week, rolling restarts will continue for the next two nights.
