[Resolved] Updating Back-end Servers

[Resolved] The update work is finished

Due to unforeseen complications with an update to our back-end servers, Residents might occasionally experience logins being rerouted not to their home or last location, but random areas nearby.

The deploy should be finished within the hour, we will let you know when it’s done.

Intermittent support portal malfunction

We are seeing some issues with our support portal, that might prevent premium and concierge customers from seeing all support options available to them. This only will only effect their live chat option, you can submit tickets as usual.

[03:57pm PST] The scheduled maintenance has concluded.

Tomorrow Tuesday January 13, 2009.  Partial outage on Tuesday morning for upgrade to a group of inventory databases.  Some groups of residents will be affected between 6:30am and 8:00am.  Those groups affected will not be able to log in during this time.

[RESOLVED 3:39 PM PST] Logins have been re-enabled, and all inworld services have been restored.

[3:25 PM PST] Due to a sudden overload on our database, we’ll shortly restrict logins.

You might experience inworld issues like failure to rez, teleports not working and other inworld services being slow or unresponsive.

Please monitor this blog for updates, and refrain from making huge transactions or rezzing valuable no-copy items at this time.

XML-RPC service was degraded

We were seeing an overload on XML-RPC service requests from particular parties, which had been disabled for a short time to allow us to figure out what was causing this.

Availability has been restored.
